Notes: Yeah, yeah . . . bunnies are adorable. These four munched, groomed and fought over carrots (not kidding) for an hour in the yard on a Sunday afternoon. From a sound meditation perspective, this was my best sogs yet. I was didn’t want the bunnies to jump out of their pen, so I was very alert. And a more attuned listener.

Notes: Madalyn is BOSS here at the Straight out of the Ground farm. On Saturdays she sells vegetables at the local farmers market. She’s part vendor, part cooking counselor, part farmers’ almanac.

Notes: Also present: finches and pigeons. My fellow artist in residence, Sybille, said this was a good time to record the birds. They would be scurrying around before night time. Also: am I crazy, or does one of these birds sound like a puppy?
